It gives them a first introduction to the concept of plain language and tips on how to write and speak in plain language. Take 20 minutes to read through the document. For the homepage, you need a description of your project in 5-6 sentences, which gives a quick overview of the content and structure of the project. Apply the principles of plain language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\"Welcome to our new project 'Digital Media in Families'. Families will meet to talk about digital media (smartphones, social media, video games, time spent online...):<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>What do children need?<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>What do parents need?<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>What are the risks and chances?<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>How to protect children online?<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>How to set media rules together?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>In the project, families exchange experiences and solutions. They collect tips so that there is less stress in the family.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The project will take place at 2-4 p.m. in the Community Center:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Date 1<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Everyone is welcome! Ask Inga if you have questions.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3 \u2013 Compare your results and give feedback (20 minutes)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Present your result to somebody and get feedback on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Did people understand what the project is about and how it will work?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is the text suitable for the audience?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is the text well structured?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Did people understand all the words?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Were the sentences short?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are there any words that could be left out?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Integrate the feedback into your text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignwide has-alpha-channel-opacity\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Learning Outcomes - which skills are addressed?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants are introduced to the concept of plain language and learn the basic principles of this approach.
